Dr. Agustin Arrieta graduated from Belen Jesuit high school and received both a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and immunology at the University of Miami, where he continued his education and received a medical degree. He then completed both his General Surgery internship and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of South Florida. At the University of South Florida, Dr. Arrieta was involved in basic and clinical research with head and neck cancer immunobiology. He has achieved many academic honors including Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the University of Miami Alumni for excellence. Dr. Arrieta is involved in medical education as a clinical associate professor at Florida International and Ross Universities. He also provides otolaryngology care to underprivileged children by volunteering at the South Miami Children’s clinic.

Dr. Dougherty is Board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

A native of Miami, Fl., Dr. Fernandez began his medical education at the University of Miami in 1988 , where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude. After obtaining his BS, he went on to receive his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Fernandez continued at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX where he completed a two year internship in General Surgery and a four year residency in Otolaryngology.

Dr. Fletcher began his medical career after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami and graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1979. He subsequently completed his Medical Degree in 1983 at the University of Miami. Later that year, he completed a one year internship in General Surgery and a four year residency in Otolaryngology at Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Fletcher is a Diplomat with The American Board of Otolaryngology as well as the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida in 1997, Dr. Paul Foster spent one year doing extensive research on the inner ear before entering the 5 year residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Miami. This training serves him well in his medical practice along side his father, Dr. A. Clifford Foster, whom he joined in 2003. Dr. Paul Foster became board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery shortly after, and continues to demonstrate those qualities that both his patients and colleges find admirable, reassuring, and highly competent.

Dr. Kronberg began his medical career in New Orleans, Louisiana obtaining his Bachelor degree in Science at Tulane University in 1976. Dr. Kronberg completed a one year internship in Surgery as well as his four year residency in Otolaryngology at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami School of Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Kronberg is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Society Head & Neck Surgery. Dr Molina completed his General surgery internship and a four year residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at UTSouthwestern Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Molina practices General Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery in both pediatric and adult populations. He has special interests in endoscopic management of sinonasal disorders, speech and swallowing disorders, and snoring and sleep apnea.

A native of Evanston Illinois, Dr. Owens moved to Florida in 1966. He began his career by attending the University of Miami in 1980 and obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as graduating Cum Laude. After attending University of Miami, Dr. Owens then proceeded to receive his Medical Degree from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in 1984 as well as completing his two year residency in General Surgery and his four year residency in Otolaryngology at their affiliated hospital. Dr. Owens is Board certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery.

Dr. Parekh received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from New York University in New York City in 2003. He then received his Doctorate of Medicine from the New York University School of Medicine. After completing medical school, Dr. Parekh went on to Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts to complete General Surgery internship and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency. During his training in Boston, Dr. Parekh received an Outstanding Teaching Award from Tufts University School of Medicine and Resident Presentation Award from the New England Otolaryngology Society. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Medical Association. Dr. Parekh’s interest lies in treating disorders of the ears, nose, throat, head and neck for both adults and children.

Francisco G. Pernas received a Bachelor in Science with a major in Biology and a chemistry minor from the University of Miami in 2001. He then pursued a degree in medicine at the University of Miami. Following that he completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health researching several chemotherapy medications currently being used in the treatment of Head and Neck cancer. He then successfully completed his formal Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Tx., a 5 year ACGME accredited institution serving as chief resident the last year of residency. Dr. Pernas excelled in his residency program achieving a high clinical volume in all aspects of Otolaryngologic care. He was awarded the Resident award in May, 2011 for outstanding research amongst his colleagues and received a Pine award in February 2008 for excellence in Otolaryngology. Dr. Pernas treats adult and pediatric patients with ENT and Facial Plastics related conditions.

Dr. Andrew P. Schell received a B.S. in Biology at the Ohio State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He continued his education at OSU and received his Medical Degree in 2009. Dr. Schell then completed both his General Surgery internship and his 4 year ACGME-accredited residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas, Dr. Schell received the Resident Research Award for investigating functional outcomes in patients with head and neck cancer. He also gave the Grand Rounds presentations on wound healing and scars as well as sublingual immunotherapy for the treatment of inhalant allergies. Dr. Schell treats patients of all ages for a variety of ENT conditions.

Dr. Richard J. Vivero, a native of South Florida, is a board certified Otolaryngologist -Head and Neck surgeon and a fellowship-trained Laryngologist. He graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Biology and returned home to earn his M.D. from the University of Miami Miller School Of Medicine, receiving honors with each degree. Dr. Vivero continued his education with a five-year residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. There, he was elected Chief Resident in his final year.
Desiring additional expertise in voice and airway disorders, Dr. Vivero returned to Harvard to complete a fellowship in Laryngology and Laryngeal Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School under the guidance of the world-renowned Dr. Steven M. Zeitels.
While at the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center, Dr. Vivero learned the latest and most advanced techniques to manage benign and cancerous lesions of the voicebox and airway, including awake laser surgery, endoscopic cancer treatment, medialization laryngoplasty, Botox, and other vocal cord procedures. In addition, he received advanced training in the management of professional voice users, including singers, actors, lawyers, and teachers, to ensure the best vocal outcomes. He has published significantly in this area and has presented at multiple national meetings regarding his work.
